This equality is in general not true, except for the most trivial case... you have written

#2.303"pK"_a ~~ -log("K"_a)#

but that means...

#-2.303log("K"_a) ~~ -log("K"_a)#

and CLEARLY, #2.303 ne 1#, so it must be that #K_a = 1#... whatever the unstated context apparently is...
