Recall that mass and volume are extensive. Thus,

#"5 g"/"1 L" = "5 mg"/"1 mL"#

And so, in #"750 mL"#, you can then scale up the solution to get:

#"5 mg"/"1 mL" = color(blue)("3750 mg")/"750 mL"#

All I did was take the fact that a fraction can be reduced to lowest whole numbers, and twist that around.
