What is the wavelength of light emitted when a bromine valence electron relaxes down to #n = 1#?

This question is physically unreasonable. There is no reason why, e.g., a #4p# electron (i.e. a valence electron) would "relax" to a filled #1s# orbital (i.e. a core orbital). It would just get repelled and go back into a #4p# orbital because all the other orbitals (#1s,2s,2p,3s,3p,3d,4s#) are full.
